EPISODE ONE: Childhood "Good Times"

Good Times! Craig is lucky he had them.  Most of his younger years were spent in Petersburg, VA with his earth mom and Pops.  His big brother Louis and him didn’t know they were scratching and surviving, because they had a ball being outside with friends.  From playing hide and go seek, sometimes hide and go get it and outside football, freeze tag, showball fights and more with the entire neighborhood.  Wow, the Good Times!

EPISODE TWO: College

"A Different World"

It’s definitely A Different World from where he came from.  Moving ro RVA to be back with his birth mom Sylvia was a different experience. Craig’s mom is a phenomenal woman who did all she could to protect and love for her two boys.  It was through the struggles of moving from place to place and the seemingly overwhelming financial difficulties that Craig’s mom pushed him to go to school and follow his passions and dreams.  Craig attended and graduated from VUU while building more community with those who seemingly had come from paths like his own.  A first generation college student with struggle on one hand but passion and love on the other.  Here was his chance to make it, if he only focused on his goals

EPISODE THREE: Lyric Ave 

"IN LIVING COLOR"

You can do what you want to do.  In Living Color.  Craig found his passion and desire to become an entrepreneur in this episode.  Lyric Ave was born with his long time best friend Tron.  They were 2Tyght.  They created a space for art and community for so many budding artists that wanted an avenue to grow their creative skills and abilities.  The late 90’s and early 2000’s was about conscious hip hop, neo soul and building each other up.  Lyric Ave was the place where artists and audiences could come and do just that.  Take it from me it’s alright to be In Lyric Ave.

EPISODE FOUR: Family & Fatherhood 

"FAMILY MATTERS"

It’s a rare condition, this day and age, to have love and tradition of a grand design.  Balancing the pursuit of dreams and passions with finding true love and growing a family is at the core of this episode in Craig’s life.  It has only been by the grace of God, the support of family and friends, his church, and most importantly his life partner and children that this has been possible.  The blessing of having Tamara Love Lane Watson in his life through thick, thin, and then thicker and thickest has proven itself over and over again.  Craig is truly thankful for the lessons and life decisions that have allowed him to be the man, son, uncle, father, friend, co-worker, boss, and now grandfather that he is.  As days go bye, for him it’s the bigger love of the family.
